Jump for Joy started in 2002 when former technology salesman Mik Hideg realized that kids are much more fun and interesting to interact with than adults. He and his new wife Karey who worked at a daycare created the Adventure Bus as a musical fantastical physical education program they bring to local preschools and daycares.
The business model had a life of its own as we kept getting calls for bounce houses because of the name Jump for Joy so they added bounce house rentals because Jumping for Joy is what you do in a bounce house.
Mik wrote live kids music to help his first son cope with life and soon he was doing live music shows at preschools.
Soon Mik began deejaying preschool, elementary and family events which started when a local elementary school lost the phone number of the deejay they used for sock-hops.
As Mik's daughter Emily got older she performed with him as the super kid's music band "Jump and Hop" and they also developed shows such as their "So You Want to Be a Pirate" and "Elf-a-Palooza Christmas Sing-A-Long" amongst others.
As demand increased Mik's wife Karey has become deejay "Karey the Music Mom" and she also performs for live music shows and portrays "Gigi the Jumping Frog" during larger "Jump and Hop" concerts.
"Santa Services" have been added including Santa, Mrs Klaus and elves. We also portray the Easter Bunny as well as a story reader "Mrs. Periwinkle.
